The Best of Pitt and the 'Burgh

Best Local Band: Leif Erikson Leif Erikson, named after the outlaw Viking, consists of four Pitt students. Although its only has one recorded song, it's a brilliant one. Leif Erikson has never played a live show, and at the moment it would be impossible for it to do so because its lead guitar player is also the drummer for the band.

The Best Mascot and Team

Best Mascot: Pitt Panther Whether he's high-fiving the crowd after a big touchdown or throwing his paws in the air for a 3-pointer, Roc the Panther can always be counted on to provide some great support for his fellow Panthers fans. Although fun and lovable for Pitt fans, Roc is a true Panther, intimidating opponents with his ferocious growl and terrifying claw-swipe.
