What you missed...
— The Panthers came out shooting to begin the game. In the first half, they outshot the Colonels, 29-25. They were also fairly successful, making 51.7% of their field goal attempts.
— The 3-point mark has been somewhat kind to the Panthers. Lamar Patterson and Ashton Gibbs made two, while Chase Adams hit one. For the first half, the Panthers were 5-of-16 from beyond the arc.
— The bench has stepped up today as Patterson already has 10 points in the game and Adams adds another five. Brad Wanamaker, who started the game, got into foul trouble early and doesn't have any points. He played only five minutes in the first half.
What to look for...
— Patterson has 10 points so far, but getting that double-double might be tough. He did record three rebounds, though, in the first half.
— After struggling in Pitt's opener against Wofford, Gibbs has looked good the past two games. After notching 22 points against Binghamton, Gibbs has 14 points so far against Eastern Kentucky. See if he can top his performance from last game.
