Im currently writing this post from a tiny island off the coast of Sicily called Ortigia.
I am one of this years 10 students on The University of Pittsburghs Pitt in Italy Program. It is a language focused program hosted at The Mediterranean Center for Arts and Sciences (MCAS.)

I am armed with a journal, a passport and a vague knowledge of the Italian language and regardless of how much I thought about this trip before I left, I could have never imagined how different it would be from what I expected.

There are little details, such as not being able to find the apostrophe button on an Italian keyboard (as you might have noticed) and larger phenomonons like the absolute culture shock I felt coming to Italy that I couldnt have ever anticipated.

I plan to use this blog to tell of my study abroad adventures and experience 4,500 miles away from my beloved Pittsburgh.

So enjoy!
